Please select one of the questions opposite to see the answer we give.
If there are questions you have which are not listed please use the contact us form to ask and we will consider putting them on the web site as soon as possible.
1. We teach a good range of dance styles at the School from ballroom to Latin American, Modern Sequence, Old Time, Line Dancing, Disco Freestyle and Rock 'n' Roll.
Within the dance styles that we teach the dances that you will encounter are dances such as;
the Waltz, the Tango, the Quickstep, Rumba, Samba, Jive, Paso Doble and the Foxtrot.
2. Wear light comfortable clothing that will allow you to move freely.
Footwear is the main consideration here and you may find that you are best wearing comfortable shoes with a small heal and a leather sole.
Later on you may wish to buy a pair of dance shoes. When you do you will notice the difference.
3. For new learners a half hour session gives you enough dance moves to practice for the following week. If you try to too many steps at once you may forget some and then end up practising the wrong steps!
The following week you may then have added difficulty because you've practised steps which are wrong. Small improvements every week are better in the early stages.
4. Private lessons are available for individuals, couples or small numbers of couples who wish to learn specific dances or just get that bit of extra tuition.
Private lessons can be for short periods to help tackle parts of a dance or dances you may be finding tricky or longer term.
